SADERS Day 2012: It’s MORE Fun if you’re a SADEr!
Written by Philip “Lep” Sumera.
June 12, 2012 marks not only the celebration of Independence day but also a celebration for all the members of SADE. It is a day that we promote camaraderie and friendship as we reflect on the topics of the reunions, eat our hearts out for all the food being shared and have fun at the games prepared by the SADE Core and Presenting Team. SADErs Day was held at University of the Philippines Diliman, wherein it was attended by 35 SADErs. The day started with inspiring sharings from SADE Class 36 then afterwards they were grouped into 4 Teams. Each team competed to outwit and outplay the other teams. 4th place goes to Team A, 3rd place goes to Teamchiu, 2nd place was grabbed by Team Kukurikapu and the Over-All Champion for SADErs DAY 2012 was Teamawa! Congratulations also to Mr. Leryhc Jimenez for being the Most Valuable Player of SADErs day 2012.
Our FAITH never faltered as the heavy rains continue to pour out. We were all wet, some hopeless, but we never ceased to pray to our Lord for a good weather. I remember one of the member s of SADE told me that she believe that the joint prayer of all SADErs was very powerful (Hi Bea! Indeed it was! Master has heard our plea and said “Wait, There’s more!” The heavy rainfall ceased and the beautiful sun came out to play. I would like to congratulate Ivan Tabilog, Paulo Sumera, Judy Anduyan, Cate Capiral, JM Gloria, Ram Gloria, Kevin Aytona and Andrew Castro for a job well done. Truly SADE now is in good hands, so proud of you guys. I would like to thank our parents who supported us at this event, FLA Headcouple, Tito Mon and Tita Noemi Giron, SADE Chair Couple, Tito Edmund and Tita Josie Gonzales, SADE Couple- In -Charge, Tito Joey and Tita Che Jimenez, Tita Inday Mabasa and ofcourse, my beautiful mother, Mommy Cristy Sumera. This event would not be this successful if it weren’t for you, our lovely and ever supportive parents.
I would like also to thank our elders who visited us at the event, Tito Lawrence and Tita Weng Tabilog (Thanks po for the tulips and the best talaga ang spaghetti!) To all the attendees, thank you so much for your cooperation, and see you all to other exciting activities of SADE. And to our one and only Master, truly you’ve proven to us once more that with you, “ALL IS WELL”.
